England [Images] have omitted fast bowler James Anderson [Images] from the team to face the Stanford Superstars in Saturday's US $20 million match in Antigua.

Anderson joins Alastair Cook [Images], Ravi Bopara [Images] and Ryan Sidebottom as the players to miss out, with captain Kevin Pietersen [Images] opting to include spinner Graeme Swann alongside Nottinghamshire team mate Samit Patel.

"We haven't played a second spinner for I don't know how long but unfortunately conditions have meant Jimmy [Anderson] has to miss out," Pietersen said on the English Cricket Board (ECB) website on Friday.

England team: Kevin Pietersen (captain), Ian Bell [Images], Stuart Broad, Paul Collingwood [Images], Andrew Flintoff [Images], Steve Harmison, Samit Patel, Matt Prior [Images] (w/k), Owais Shah, Graeme Swann, Luke Wright.
