India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images] extended his stay at the top of the batting chart, while his pace spearhead Zaheer Khan [Images] broke into the top 10 in the bowlers' list in the latest ICC [Images] One-Day International rankings issued on Friday.
Star middle order batsman Yuvraj Singh [Images] benefitted from West Indies' [Images] talismanic batsman Chris Gayle's [Images] mundane form to jump a rung to grab the fifth spot.
Sachin Tendulkar [Images] is the only other Indian batsman in the top 20.
In the bowlers' chart, Zaheer took 10th place and is followed by Harbhajan Singh [Images] at the 20th spot.
Meanwhile, New Zealand [Images] captain Daniel Vettori [Images] has made a superb start to the year by overtaking Australian Nathan Bracken [Images] as the number one ODI bowler.
The left-arm spinner has taken six wickets in the first three matches of the current series against the West Indies at an impressive average of just 12.33 and a thrifty economy rate of 3.08.
It is not the first time Vettori has been at the summit, having spent much of the first half of last year in first position.
Bracken, however, has the perfect opportunity to retake number-one place having been named in Australia's [Images] ODI squad for the upcoming five-ODI series against South Africa [Images].
In the team charts, India stand third, behind Australia and South Africa.
