Shah Rukh, Salman, Chunkey summoned in Gulshan murder caseA Sessions Judge today summoned film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Chunkey Pandey to appear before him on November 1, to tender evidence in the Gulshan Kumar murder case. The summons were issued by Sessions Judge M L Tahilyani who warned the actors to appear without fail. They had been summoned to depose today but could not make it due to professional commitments.
The actors are expected to throw light on the conspiracy leading to the killing of Gulshan Kumar on August 12, 1997 in suburban Juhu in the metropolis. On a prosecution plea, the court had earlier summoned them to depose today. However, two of them apologised in writing for not appearing before the court. Shah Rukh Khan is in London and therefore could not be served with summons, while Chunkey Pandey submitted a letter saying that he had received the notice only yesterday. Pandey said he was scheduled to perform a show at Durgapur in West Bengal and could not cancel the programme at a short notice. Salman Khan also tendered an apology in writing for not appearing before the court. The actor said he had conmmitted to a film shooting which he could not cancel at such short notice.
