Jethmalani says "no case" against ThackerayUnion Law Minister Ram Jethmalani today said there is "no case" against Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray. "The case is time-barred. The law says you cannot file a prosecution after three years from the date of commission of offence," he told reporters after meeting Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Maharashtra Government recently granted permission to the Bombay police to prosecute Bal Thackeray for his inflammatory editorials during the 1992-93 riots. Jethmalani said in Thackeray's case there is no question of any arrest because the "case is not one which required investigation." PTI
