Clinton condemns massacreAmberish K Diwanji in New Delhi US President Bill Clinton and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee concluded their official meeting at Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Tuesday. Addressing a gathering at Hyderabad House after signing the Indo-American Vision statement, Vajpayee said that President Clinton has invited him to Washington and that he was delighted to accept the invitation. Vajpayee condemned the massacre of Sikhs in Jammu and Kashmir. In his opening remarks, Clinton said, ''I am glad that we are here... My visit will build dynamic relations between the two countries... I thank the prime minister for accepting my invitation.'' He lauded the achievements of Indian Americans. ''We share your outrage over the massacre,'' he said. Officials said they discussed various issues of concern to both the countries, including Kashmir, CTBT and the security situation in South Asia. Vajpayee did not have a one-to-one meeting with Clinton. The prime minister was assisted in the dialogue by External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh, National Security Advisor Brajesh Mishra and joint secretary in the Prime Minister's Office, Prabhat Shukla. Clinton was joined by Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, US National Security Advisor Sandy Berger and US security advisor for South Asia Bruce Rider. Later in the day, Union Minister for Human Resources Development Murli Manohar Joshi will sign a science and technology agreement with Albright. CLINTON VISITS INDIA : The complete coverage
