Mild quake rocks Himachal Pradesh

An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter Scale struck Himachal Pradesh Friday, the India Meteorological Department said in its preliminary report in New Delhi.

The epicentre of the quake, which occurred at 0809 hrs, was located 32.0 degrees north and 76.4 east, it said.

The department described the temblor's intensity as slight.
