Chhota Rajan survives murderous attackSheela Bhatt in Bombay In a dramatic turn of events, Rajendra Nikhalje aka Chhota Rajan has survived the bullets of the hired goons of arch-enemy Dawood Ibrahim's lieutenant Chhota Shakeel. According to O P Singh, a confidant of Rajan in Bangkok, his boss is not dead as had been reported initially. "He has been operated upon successfully and is looking forward to the discharge order from the hospital," he told a friend in Bombay a few hours ago. The friend told rediff.com, "O P Singh gave this khush khabar to me and we are sure Rajan has survived." According to him, Rajan gives the credit for having saved his life to Rohit Verma, the man who Shakeel claimed to have been his informant. Verma was killed in the shootout. Singh told the friend that "Verma saved Rajan by blocking the bullets. Before succumbing to his injuries he gave Rajan a passage to escape through the window." All evening on Saturday, the source was busy calling up his contacts in Bombay, including some well-known traders. He repeated to everyone, "Bhai maze mein hai. Chinta nahin karna. (The boss is fine, don't worry.)" |
