Singh is likely to fly on the inaugural Delhi-Beijing flight, which will mark the resumption of direct air links between India and China, on March 28.
The direct air links is expected to facilitate bilateral trade worth $10 billion in the near future.
The invitation to take the inaugural flight was extended by visiting Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji when Singh called on him.
Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Najma Heptulla, president of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), is also slated to visit China shortly.
Zhu, who is in India at the invitation of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on a six-day official visit, had a busy day on Tuesday meeting Lok Sabha Speaker G M C Balayogi, Leader of Opposition Sonia Gandhi and Heptulla besides visiting the historic seven-storeyed Qutab Minar.
Zhu also invited Balayogi to visit China.
During the parleys, Zhu reiterated China's strong condemnation of the December 13 attack on Parliament, its opposition to all forms of terrorism and declared that terrorism cannot be justified 'under any circumstances'.
He said China too was facing the scourge.
Both sides agreed on the need to further advance economic and trade cooperation, an external affairs ministry spokesperson told reporters.
