Pak Prime Minister to visit Delhi in August

April 20, 2004 01:27 IST

Pakistan Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Monday said he would visit India in August in his capacity as the chairman of SAARC.

Jamali told private TV Channel Geo in Islamabad that it was broadly decided that he would visit New Delhi, which would be his first destination among the SAARC nations, in August 2004 but no dates were finalised for the visit.

Jamali took over as the SAARC chairman at the summit held in Islamabad in February 2004.

During his visit to India, he would confine his talks with the Indian leadership on issues related to SAARC. He would be visiting other SAARC countries in September.
