The Kerala [Images] police have registered a case against the relatives of the al-Badr terrorist who was plotting to blow up key buildings in Bangalore and who was arrested from Mysore.

Officers of the Kozhikode Medical College Police on Monday said they have registered a case against Fathima Begum and her relatives for giving unlawful accommodation to the Pakistani national and hence violating the Foreigners' Act.

Begum is the cousin of Muhammed Fahad, who had allegedly planned to blow up the Karnataka Vikas Sabha, a splendid building adjoining the state's seat of power, the Vidhan Sabha.

The family accommodated Fahad at their residence at Peruvayal in the district, even after his 45-day visit visa expired, the police said.

As per the existing laws, anyone stays in the country after the visa's expiry should inform the authorities immediately.

The police had conducted raids at the residences of relatives of Fahad and in various parts of the district and in Malappuram.

The police also discovered that Fahad's father Abdulla Koya migrated from Peruvayal to Pakistan in 1971.

The police had earlier seized 11 letters from Pakistan -- all in Urdu -- from the residence of Fahad's stepmother at Kappad on October 28.

Fahad and another Pakistani terrorist Mohd Ali Hussain, who had planned to blow up the Sabha buildings, were arrested in Mysore on October 28.
