Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh has disclosed that the party will have a tie up with the Janata Dal-United in the forthcoming assembly elections in Karnataka.
Addressing media persons after launching an email system that would link the party to every booth as envisaged by him, Rajnath said: "Last time too we had tied up with JD-U, which went on to win five out of the 25 seats that were allotted to them."
The BJP Central Election Committee will meet on April 10 to clear the names of candidates, who would be given tickets to contest elections.
"The system of party dropping some and including new varies from state to state. It happened not only in Gujarat but in most states where elections took place. We would be posting Advaniji's book on the party website for our 40 million karyakartas (activists)," he said.
Meanwhile, talking about the new email system, Rajnath said the new project had cost the party about Rs 20 lakh so far.
