'Boycs' is back! The Yorkshire twang of Geoffrey Boycott, which has enlivened many a cricket commentary, is now back. Boycs returned to television commentry, this time on behalf of the BBC, on Thursday for the third Test between England and South Africa at Old Trafford. This follows the setting aside an assault conviction, wherein the former England star was convicted of beating up his live-in girlfriend. Following the conviction, the BBC dropped him from the commentary team. Meanwhile, Boycs argued in court that since he was not present in court when the case was heard, the conviction should be set aside. Accordingly, the case is due to be tried afresh, later this year. And meanwhile, it's over to you, Geoff!
