Campbell to lead Zimbabwe against India

Alistair Campbell will lead Zimbabwe in the first two one dayers against India, slated for September 26 and 27 at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. His debuty will be Andrew Flower.

The rest of the team is as follows: Murray Goodwin, Craig Evans, Gary Brent, Paul Strang, Andrew Whittall, Mluleki Nkala, John Rennie, Craig Wishart, Heath Streak, Adam Huckle, Trevor Madondo, and Mpumelelo Mbangwa.

The most notable exception of course is vice captain Andy Flower's brother, Grant.

David Houghton will coach the side, with Malcolm Jarvis as manager and Amato Machikicho as team physio.

The Indian team for the series, which includes three ODIs and a one off Test, is as follows:

Mohammad Azharuddin (Captain), Ajay Jadeja (Vice-Captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly, Robin Singh, Rahul Dravid, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Javagal Srinath, Ajit Agarkar, Nayan Mongia, Anil Kumble, Harbajan Singh, Debashish Mohanty, and Rahul Sanghvi.

C T Palanka accompanies the team as administrative manager, Anshuman Gaekwad is coach, Dr Ravindra Chaddha is the team doctor and Andrew Kokinos is team physio.

The third ODI is slated for September 30, at the Harare Sports Club. The Indian team will then play a three day game against the President's XI at the Sunrise Sports Club between Friday October 2-Sunday October 4, followed by a one off Test at the Harare Sports Club ground between Wednesday October 7-Sunday October 11.

The Indian team will then return home, to take part in the Challenger Series featuring India A, India B and India C. This will serve as the selection tournament for the team that will go to Dhaka, on October 24, for the ICC knockout tournament involving all nine Test-playing nations, and billed as the Wills Trophy.

The team will be selected on October 18, following which it will take part in a five day conditioning camp in either Delhi or Calcutta before leaving for Dhaka on October 24.
