Windies in BangladeshThe West Indies cricket team, led by Brian Lara, arrived in Dhaka today to play three matches against Bangladesh amid tension prior to a country-wide general strike on Sunday. ''Tight security will be maintained at the ground and hotel,'' local security chief Nurul Alam said. The West Indies are the first Test-playing side to make an official tour of Bangladesh, which achieved one-day international status in 1997. The teams start a three-day match on Monday and then play two one-day internationals on October 8 and 9. Jimmy Adams and paceman Curtly Ambrose, who have coaching commitments, arrive next Tuesday and will miss the opening game.
