East Bengal win Calcutta football leagueReigning champions East Bengal retained the Calcutta Super League football title for a record 26th time when they defeated Mohammedan Sporting 1-0 in their last match of the 'Super 5' league at the Salt Lake stadium in Calcutta today. The all-important goal was scored by Ghanian defeender Suley Musah from a penalty in the 42nd minute of the first half. East Bengal collected 35 points from 13 outings and finished the league undefeated. Their arch rivals Mohun Bagan had to be content with the runners-up spot. UNI
