Three teenagers in Kenya teamKenya included three teenagers in a squad of 14 announced today for the four-nation cricket tournament being hosted by the country from September 25. Besides Kenya, South Africa, India and Zimbabwe contest the tournament which concludes on October 5. The teenagers, all bowlers, are Peter Ochieng, Josephat Ababu and Francis Otieno. Kenya Cricket Association selection chief Asif Padamshi said the team, coached by former India Test batsman Sandeep Patil, had a concentration of bowlers, hitherto Kenya's main weakness. Lower-order batsmen Joseph Angara, who played in this year's World Cup, and Lameck Onyango have been dropped. Former captain Aasif Karim and opener Deepak Chudasama retired after the World Cup. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Sheikh replaces Karim and Ravindu Shah takes over from Chudasama, opening the batting with Kennedy Otieno. Maurice Odumbe and Steve Tikolo were named captain and vice-captain last month. The squad: Maurice Odumbe (captain), Steve Tikolo (vice-captain), Kennedy Otieno, Martin Suji, Hitesh Modi, Alpesh Vadher, Ravindu Shah, Thomas Odoyo, Mohammad Sheikh, Tony Suji, Peter Ochieng, Josephat Ababu, Francis Otieno, Jimmy Kamande.
