ICC will go all out to end match-fixing: Dalmiya

International Cricket Council (ICC) president Jagmohan Dalmiya said that there can be no crime more heinous than ''match-fixing'' and the ICC will go all out to uproot this evil.

''It is like selling your country and playing cricket for the bookies,'' he told Sportstime, a daily sports programme on Doordarshan's news and current affairs channel.

Dalmiya said initial inquiries by various countries into the allegations were not final and the ICC committee will scrutinise everything threadbare.

The ICC have outlined a code of conduct for member countries on critical issues, including the issue of match-fixing, he said, adding police investigations have pointed out the involvement of a ''person from an Indian sports channel'' but refused to give details at present.

On the recent election of A C Muthiah as BCCI president, Dalmiya said there is nothing unconstitutional about it.
