England will stage floodlit cricket in 2000English cricket grounds will stage their first floodlit one-day internationals next year, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said today. ''Floodlit cricket in the CGU national cricket league is already attracting many new converts to the game and its introduction into the international programme will hopefully accelerate this trend still further,'' ECB chief executive Tim Lamb said. England will play two Tests against Zimbabwe and five Tests against the West Indies during the 2000 season. England, the West Indies and Zimbabwe will also compete in a triangular one-day international series with the final to be held at Lord's. The three day-night matches will be in the triangular tournament. They will be staged at Bristol (West Indies v Zimbabwe), Old Trafford (England v Zimbabwe) and Edgbaston (England v Zimbabwe).
