Saqlain for finals against Windies

Pakistan will be bolstered by the inclusion of Saqlain Mushtaq in the best-of-three finals against the West Indies, starting at Barbados on Wednesday.

The ace off-spinner left for the West Indies on Tuesday and is likely to play in the first match itself.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) director Yawar Saeed disclosed that opening batsman Saeed Anwar has recovered from knee surgery and will join the team in the West Indies later this month for the three-Test series.

''Saqlain will join the team in Barbados on Tuesday while Anwar will fly out on April 25 for the Test series which starts on May 5,'' Saeed said.

He said four of the 18 players now in the West Indies will return by Friday.

Mushtaq and Anwar returned from England last week after undergoing treatment for their injuries. Mushtaq underwent tests for a stomach illness while Anwar had surgery on his right knee.
