Abhinav Bindra on target

World record holder and Olympian Abhinav Bindra is on song. The young Chandigarh-based shooter continued on his golden run as he shot to glory and gold -- his fifth in a row -- in the European circuit Rifle shooting championship at Hague, Holand, on Thursday evening.

According to information, Abhinav Bindra totalled 696.6- (595 and 101.6 points) to win the title.

Norway's C. Sanvoli, with 696.5 (593,103.5), took the silver while Luxembourg's S.Grelli, with 684.9 (584,100.9), claimed the bronze.

Abhinav led the qualifying round with a score of 595 in a field of 56 shooters from 23 countries. The Indian went in the final shoot-out in lane number one and shot 101.6.

Reports say this was the most closely-contested match of the circuit and young Abhinav managed to pip his Norweigian rival by just 0.1 points.
