Bhutia for pre World Cup camp

Star striker Baichung Bhutia will be among 22 Indian probables for the national camp to select the team for the World Cup football qualifying matches scheduled in May-June.

A statement from the All India Football Federation said Bhutia, who plays for English second division club FC Bury, will participate in the month-long camp, which commences at Bangalore on March 25.

The team for the pre-World Cup matches will be selected after the camp.

The probables: Virendra Singh, Balaji, Prasanta Dora, K V Dhanesh, Mahesh Gawli, Dipak Mandal, Robert Fernandes, Rattan Singh, Tapan Ghosh, Sur Kumar, Jo Paul Ancheri, Khalid Jamil, Hardip Sangha, Renedy Singh, R P Singh, Jules Alberto, Venkatesh, Noel Wilson, Bhaichung Bhutia, R C Prakash, M A M Abdul Hakim, I M Vijayan and Alvito D'Cunha.
