Grand double for GouthamIndia's Sheetal Goutham pulled off a grand double on Friday, winning both the singles and doubles titles in an International Tennis Federation women's circuit Masters event. Fourth seed Goutham prevailed in a tough three-set match over compatriot Megha Vakharia to win the singles title in almost three hours before returning with partner Lisa Pereira to win the doubles crown, beating Preeti Rao and Samrita Sekar. Goutham, who trains in Bangalore, was taken the distance by unseeded Vakharia but raised her game a couple of notches in the third set tie-break to win 6-7, 7-5, 7-6. In a match marred by lots of unforced errors from both players, Goutham, who had bundled out top seed Sonal Phadke in the semifinals on Thursday, hit some key winners in the dying stages for the biggest title of her career. In the doubles final, the top-seeded pair of Goutham and Pereira was pushed early by Rao and Sekar but held on to win a close first-set tie-break 9-7. In the second set Rao and Sekar ran out of steam losing 6-0. Results (prefix numbers denote seeding, all Indians):
