Karthikeyan to test with JordanNarain Karthikeyan will test for Jordan at Silverstone next week, the Formula One team announced at the Italian Grand Prix on Thursday. Britain's Justin Wilson, the newly-crowned FIA Formula 3000 champion, will also get his first drive in a Formula One car. Karthikeyan will kick off the three-day session to evaluate up-and-coming drivers on September 18 with Wilson driving on the following two days. Karthikeyan is already the first Indian to drive a Formula One car. His much-delayed first test with Jaguar earlier in the year, as part of a contract agreement when he raced for Stewart in British Formula Three, was front-page news in India. "I am extremely excited by the opportunity to test with the Jordan team, one of the top teams in the F1 world championship," Jordan quoted the Indian as saying in a statement. "I hope I can prove my abilities and progress further towards my goal of becoming India's first Formula One driver." Karthikeyan is currently competing in Formula Nippon in Japan, the same series that Malaysian Alex Yoong has just left to take up a drive with Minardi.
