Sai, Liza have it easy
Seeded players Sai Jayalakshmi and Liza Pereira sailed into the women's singles second
round with straight set wins over lesser-known opponents on
the second day of the $5000 prize-money Indian Oil Servo ITF
tennis tournament in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Seventh seed Liza, playing an attacking game, crushed Kalpita Raje 6-1, 6-0 in just half an hour while
Hyderabad-based third seed Jayalakshmi needed 45 minutes
to sideline Priyanka Mehta 6-3, 6-1.
In other first round matches, fourth seed Sonal Phadke,
fifth seed Goutam Sheetal and unseeded Krushmi Chheda recorded
easy wins.
