Bhupathi, Tarango lose in semis

Mahesh Bhupathi and Jeff Tarango lost the doubles semi-final at the $357,000 Heineken Open, Auckland, New Zealand on Saturday.

The Indo-American pair, seeded second in the tournament, went down in a third-set tie-break to the fourth seeds Martin Garcia of Argentina and Cyril Suk of the Czech Republic 7-6(5), 4-6, 6-7(5).

The match was suspended at 5-5 due to rain on Friday.

Garcia and Suk will face the top seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Todd Woodbridge in the final.
