Camilla Martin in final
Denmark's Camilla Martin breezed into the All England badminton championship final with an impressive 7-2, 7-4, 8-6 triumph over her old foe Dai Yun of China on Saturday.
The pair have been battling on the circuit for over seven years with a head to head split of 7-7 going into Saturday's semifinal.
But it was 27-year-old fifth seed Martin who won the day, producing some of her best badminton to reach her first All England final since 1995 when she lost.
The Dane, World champion in 1999 and the only European survivor in the singles events here, wobbled slightly in the third game when she failed to cash in on a match point at 6-5 but fought well in the tie-breaker to clinch victory.
Her opponent on Sunday, in an event which has been largely dominated by the Chinese, will be either top seed Zhou Mi or third seed Gong Ruina.
In the men's tournament, second seed Chen Hong, 22, proved too strong for Chinese compatriot Bao Chuniai, winning 8-7, 7-2, 7-5 to reach the final for the second year in succession.
