Dhanraj Pillay's magic with the hockey stick is well-known, but his skills before the camera will come to light when he features in a music video for a social cause. It will be the first time that an Indian hockey player will be seen in such a role.

The captain of the Indian hockey team has accepted an offer from a leading Indian corporate company to feature in the video but will wait for the Asia Cup to finish before he takes on the camera.

"The music video will create awareness about a social cause and is aimed at reaching to the masses," said a source close to the player.

"However, in order that Pillay stays focussed and concentrates on the Asia Cup, the shooting for the video has been put on hold.

"Dhanraj wants to give his 100 per cent to the Asia Cup for now and would not want anything to interfere with preparation or the matches," the source added.
