Former world number one and defending champion Carlos Moya [Images] of Spain, who is in Chennai, said on Sunday that his best tennis was still to come and he would keep up the "momentum" for some more years.

"My best tennis is still to come. I am working on that. I will run with the same tempo for some more years. My goal is to keep playing in the Masters Cup and win Grand Slam events besides doing my best for my country (Spain) in Davis Cup matches," said Moyawho is on his fourth visit to the city for the tournament, which is into its ninth year.

Moya was initially worried to play in this tournament after a few countries including India was hit by the tsunami last week.

The Spaniard, who has won 17 singles titles in his career spread over nine years, said "I feel very sad that so many lives have been lost because of tsunami. Players (assembled here) are discussing about contributing for rehabilitating the families and something constructive will be done."

"We are planning to donate as much as possibile and the whole proceeds of an auction to be held tonight will also be donated for this cause," he said.

On his chances of retaining the title, he said "two years back I did not perform well in this tournament. This year I am focussed well.

"Presently, I am concentrating on winning my first two matches against a qualifier and against winner of Prakash Amritraj and Ivo Heuberger (match). This tournament win is important for me."

On drug abuse by tennis players, he said "tennis is clean. That is what I can say but ATP is working on strict regulations towards this."
