Drag-flicker Raghunath scored a brace as India played an aggressive brand of hockey to drub
Pakistan 4-0 in their opening match of the under-21 invitation hockey tournament at Gniezno, Poland, on Monday.
India earned as many as six penalty-corners.
While Raghunath (16th and 70th minutes) netted two goals from penalty-corners, Roshan Minz (25th) and skipper V Raja (27th) scored once each.
The Indians played like a well-oiled machine and kept the pressure on Pakistani defenders throughout the match.
The defenders also exhibited good skills to prevent the Pakistanis from entering into the striking circle often.
Their skill can be gauged from the fact that the Pakistani forwards could not earn a single penalty-corner in the whole match.
In the next outing, India plays the Czech Republic.
