Jeev Milkha Singh finished a disappointing 22nd while South Africa's Retief Goosen flew on the wings of an eagle to clinch the 10th Commercial bank Qatar Masters golf tournament in Doha on Sunday.

Nicknamed 'The Goose', Goosen, sank a sensational 30-foot putt for an eagle to dramatically snatch the title and end his title drought, his last win came in December 2005.

Goosen (69), in the process, handed luckless Australian Nick O'Hern, who has never won on the European Tour, a record seventh career second place on the European Tour.

Jeev shot 70 in the final round to end up 22nd while Shiv Kapur finished 27th and SSP Chowrasia tied 65th.

Goosen birdied the 17th and at 13-under needed to birdie the 18th to get into a tie with O'Hern who was at 14-under coming to the 18th tee.

Goosen, who had not found the fairway at the 18th on any of the three previous days, made no mistake on final day and then hit a brilliant second shot to within 30 feet of the cup. He sank that putt to go to 15-under.

O'Hern, whose driving a left a lot to be desired on Sunday, needed to sink a birdie putt of less than 10 feet to send the tournament into a play-off. But he missed that and with a two-footer for par, he stayed at 14-under and once again the runner-up.
