But by the end of the fourth day, the Test finally seemed to have turned in the Aussies' favour. After a bitter struggle, which saw the best cricket of the series being played, the superior mental strength of the home side, and their ability to wriggle out of a tight situation time and again, worked in their favour. The Aussies were cruising towards victory. They ended the day on 98 for 4, needing a further 32 runs for the 13th victory on the trot.
