Matthew Hayden bounced back from an undistinguished Ashes tour to England to claim his first Test hundred on his home ground.
He could have been dismissed on 83 when McMillan failed to hang onto a brilliant diving effort at short cover, but hit two sixes and 20 boundaries in his 195-ball innings.
