Indian women's team humiliated

India were bowled out for 26, the second lowest score in women's international limited-overs cricket history, by New Zealand, in the Tri-Series cricket tournament, in Jersey, on Thursday.

The collapse gave New Zealand a 142-run victory in their first game of the series, which also involves England.

Batting first, the Kiwis scored 168 for nine in 50 overs.

It was India's second collapse in as many days. At St. Saviour on Wednesday, they were dismissed for 59, as England won by six wickets.

Against New Zealand, number nine Goswami Jhulan and extras were joint top-scorers with six in India's worst score at the international level.

New Zealand pace bowler Rachel Pullar finished with five wickets for ten runs from seven overs.

Emily Drumm led the New Zealand batting with 56, sharing a stand of 54 for the fourth wicket with Haidee Tiffen (37).

The lowest women's one-day international total is 24, made by Scotland against England at last year's European Championships.
