Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by eight wickets

Sri Lanka eased to an eight-wicket victory over Pakistan on the fifth and final morning of the Asian Test Championship on Sunday.

Chasing 32 to win, the Sri Lankans reached 33 for two in their second innings with Kumar Sangakkara unbeaten on 14 and Mahela Jayawardene not out 12.

Pakistan, who ended the fourth day on 248 for five, were dismissed for 325 in their second innings. Inzamam-ul-Haq top-scored with 99 before being dismissed leg before wicket by left-arm paceman Chaminda Vaas.

Vaas finished with figures of four of 85 and off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan claimed four for 72.
