Warnie's Ton

1993

Touring England he took the wicket of Mike Gatting with his first ball in Ashes cricket. It was a ball of dreams, an unplayable jaffa of a leg-break that pitched 18 inches outside leg stump and glanced the off-stump.

It was labeled the `Ball of the Century' even as Mike Gatting stared at the wicket hardly believing a ball could have drifted or spun so much.

1993-94

He returned with match figures of 12-128 against South Africa at Sydney. Took his 100th Test wicket (Brian McMillan) in his 23rd Test. Tours of South Africa and Sharjah followed before he was named `International Cricketer of the Year'.
