From Springboks to Proteas

Nelson Mandela’s release from the Robben Island prison in February 1990 signalled the beginning of the end of apartheid.

And after more than 20 years in the wilderness, the International Cricket Council allowed South Africa back into international cricket following the termination of apartheid.
