Scorecard
Pakistan thrashed Kenya by 143 runs in the final group game of the Sharjah Cup on Tuesday.
Pakistan made 286 in their allotted 50 overs and later bundled out the Kenyans for 143 in 31.4 overs.
Maurice Odumbe (54) was the only batsman to offer some resistance, but his knock failed to give a semblance of respectability to the Kenyan innings.
Earlier, Shoaib Malik and Misbah-ul Haq helped Pakistan score 286 for eight.
Malik stroked a brisk 76 and Haq chipped in with 42 as Pakistan ended their innings with a flourish, scoring 106 runs in the last 10 overs to post the tournament's highest score.
Skipper Rashid Latif made 38 off 31 balls with two fours and two sixes, but it was Malik who blew away the Kenya attack, hitting six fours and a six in his 58-ball knock.
With Pakistan already assured of a place in Thursday's final, the match against the surprise World Cup semi-finalists was reduced to a formality.
Pakistan rested Younis Khan and Abdul Razzaq to give their reserves -- Haq and Naveed-ul Hassan -- a chance to cement their places in the team.
Haq exploited the opportunity, scoring 42 after openers Mohamed Hafeez (36) and Taufeeq Umar (17) put on 45 runs.
Faisal Iqbal (23) and Yousuf Youhana (18) made fine starts, but failed to covert them into big innings.
Pakistan's lower order enjoyed themselves, hammering 64 runs off the last five overs with Mohammad Sami slamming 12 off just four balls.
