Makhaya Ntini kissed the Lord's pitch after his second five-wicket haul of the game. The Protean took ten wickets in a match for the first time and also became the first South African ever to take ten wickets at the Lords.

Ntini ended with five for 145 off 31 overs, to go with his five for 75 in the first essay.
