Cricket Australia has deputed a top official to India to discuss the logistical paraphernalia including ground conditions ahead of the coming cricket tri-series in October-November.
General Manager (Operations) of Cricket Australia Michael Brown is on a tour of different venues across the country, where Australia are slated to play in the tournament, discussing various details like travelling and lodging arrangements and practice facilities with the respective local organisers.
In the maiden leg of his tour, Brown visited the Cricket Association of Bengal headquarters at Eden Gardens at Kolkata on Tuesday and held parleys with CAB officials.
"He has mainly come to see the arrangments in small centres like Gwalior, Guwahati, Pune and Faridabad," CAB official Goutam Dasgupta, who held parleys with Brown, said on Wednesday.
Dasgupta said Brown inquired at length on the arrangements for team movement for the final to be played at the Eden on November 18.
"Though he made Kolkata his first stopover, he did not visit the ground," he said.
New Zealand is the third team in the triseries which starts on October 23.
Brown left for Mumbai on Tuesday night.
