Dravid to lead India 'B' for Challenger series

Rahul Dravid will lead the India 'B' team for the Challenger series, to be held in Bangalore from Septmber 10 to 14.
Sourav Ganguly will lead the India Seniors while Anil Kumble will captain India 'A' in the series, Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary S K Nair told reporters in Bangalore after a meeting of the selection committee.
John Wright, Sandeep Patil and Ashok Malhotra have been named coaches of India Seniors, India 'A' and India 'B' respectively.
Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Ashish Nehra will not be playing in the Challenger series.
"They are having some problems and are recovering. In order to have quick recovery, they are taking a break [after the camp concludes tomorrow]. They are being attended to by Andrew Leipus [physio]," Nair said.
Delhi team opener Akash Chopra has been included in the India Seniors team.
"He was having fitness problems, but the selectors want to have a look at him," Nair said.
According to Nair, all the 36 probables attending the conditioning camp will reassemble for the second phase of training, to be held from September 1 to 6.
He said Dravid, Mohammad Kaif and Yuvraj Singh, all of whom are playing county cricket in England, will attend the second phase of the camp.
The selection committee meeting was attended by its chairman, Brijesh Patel, skipper Sourav Ganguly and all the other selectors, Nair said.

India Seniors: Sourav Ganguly (captain), V V S Laxman, Hemang Badani, A T Rayudu, Sanjay Bangar, Parthiv Patel, Amit Mishra, K Murali Kartik, Sarandeep Singh, Zaheer Khan, L Balaji, Reetinder Sodhi and Akash Chopra.
India 'A': Anil Kumble (captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Rohan Gavaskar, Mohammad Kaif, Wasim Jaffer, S Sriram, Ajay Rathra, Irfan Pathan (Jr.), Ajit Agarkar, Mithun Manhas and Ramesh Powar.
India 'B': Rahul Dravid (captain), Shiv Sundar Das, Satyajit Parab, Vijay Bharadwaj, Yuvraj Singh, Thilak Naidu, Dinesh Mongia, J P Yadav, Avishkar Salvi, Sidharth Trivedi, Sairaj Bahutule and Amit Bhandari.
