March 26, 2003 15:53 IST
India will play a triangular one-day series involving South Africa and hosts Bangladesh in Dhaka next month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed on Wednesday. South Africa withdrew earlier this week from a triangular series in Sharjah following the outbreak of war in Iraq. The South Africans had been scheduled to play in the competition with Pakistan and Sri Lanka from April 1-10. Officials are reportedly trying to shift the tournament to Colombo now. India were beaten by Australia in the final of the World Cup on Sunday. Hosts South Africa and Bangladesh were knocked out in the group stage. Itinerary (Dhaka one-day series): April 11: India v Bangladesh April 13: India v South Africa April 14: Bangladesh v South Africa April 16: India v Bangladesh April 17: South Africa v Bangladesh April 18: India v South Africa
