Teams arrive in Rajkot amid tight security
November 08, 2005 14:17 IST
The Indian and Sri Lankan teams arrived in Rajkot from Ahmedabad on Monday evening amid tight security arrangements for the sixth one-day international to be played here on November 9.
The authorities here are not taking any chances this time round after the last ODI played in Rajkot had to be abandoned due to crowd misbehaviour.
Police Commissioner K Nityanandam informed that more than 1000 policemen would be deployed and about 100 personnel would be watching viewers' activities during the match.
