McGrath becomes leading Test paceman

Australian spearhead Glenn McGrath took his 520th Test career wicket when he dismissed West Indies [Images] captain Brian Lara [Images] for five in the sixth over of his opening spell during the first inningsĀ of the World XI in the ICC [Images] Super Test in Sydney on Saturday.

The Australian became the leading paceman in Test cricket surpassing West Indian Courtney Walsh [Images]. He is now third in all-time list after teammate Shane Warne [Images] (623 wickets) and Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan (560).
McGrath showed his class producing a devastating spell and grabbed the prize wickets of two of the best batsmen of the world -- Rahul Dravid [Images] and Lara.
Dravid was out for duck, offering a regulation catch to Gilchrist while a shuffling Lara was trapped right in front on a ball that held its line after pitching on the middle stump.
