April 12, 2006 12:14 IST

In-form wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images] will be rested for the seventh and final One-Day International between India and England [Images], at Indore, on April 15.

Tamil Nadu's Dinesh Karthick will replace him, a statement from Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Niranjan Shah said.

Rahul Dravid [Images], who was rested for the sixth ODI in Jamshedpur, will return to the side and take over the reins from the struggling Virender Sehwag [Images]. The Bangalore ace will replace Mumbai paceman Ajit Agarkar [Images].

"Rahul Dravid is replacing Ajit Agarkar. The selection committee has also decided to rest Dhoni and bring in Dinesh Karthick in his place," Shah's statement added.

In keeping with the team management's policy, pace spearhead Irfan Pathan [Images] was rested for the sixth ODI.
