Sreesanth practises despite illness
March 08, 2006 13:06 IST
India pace bowler S Sreesanth [Images] had a bout of vomiting late on Tuesday night but recovered and took part in the training session in Mohali on Wednesday.
Sreesanth, who made an impressive debut in the first Test at Nagpur last week, looked a bit drained but did have his share of bowling spells at the nets at the PCA stadium on the eve of the second Test against England [Images].
The 24-year old's sick condition could be attributed to the relatively high humidity prevailing here.
Uncapped Munaf Patel [Images] had a long spell too.
Maharashtra fast bowler Patel was included in the squad after he picked a 10-wicket haul that wrecked England in the warm-up game in Baroda preceding the first Test.
It, however, remains to be seen whether the 22-year old from Ikhar, Gujarat, will get his maiden India cap ahead of Sreesanth, only the second Keralite to have played in Tests.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed sources said India might opt for the grassless track out of the two prepared for the match.
