Indian team leaves for West Indies

The 15-member Indian cricket team, led by Rahul Dravid [Images], left Mumbai on Thursday night for their tour of the West Indies [Images].

The squad, which would play a five-match limited over international series against the West Indies followed by a four-Test rubber, was accompanied by coach Greg Chappell [Images] and the other support staff that included manager Ranjib Biswal, also a national selector.

The Indians, on their ninth full tour of the Caribbean since their maiden visit in 1952-53, will open their campaign with a one-day practice game against Jamaica on May 16.

The squad: Rahul Dravid (captain), V Sehwag, R Uthappa, Yuvraj Singh [Images], M Kaif, S Raina, Venugopala Rao, M S Dhoni [Images], I Pathan, R Powar, Harbhajan Singh [Images], A Agarkar, S Sreesanth [Images], R P Singh and Munaf Patel [Images].
