Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit is just another upper-middle-class Delhi-ite, going by the list of assets she has declared while filing her nomination for the assembly election on December 1. Aside from her financial investments and bank balance, Dikshit currently holds just Rs 30,000 in cash, 30gm of gold worth Rs 15,000, and one flat worth Rs 2,15,200. What's more, the chief minister is yet to own a car. The Congress politician, who is tipped by almost every psephologist and punter to return as Delhi's chief minister for a second successive term, filed her nomination today from her favourite Gole Market constituency and submitted the mandatory affidavit giving details of her possessions. This is what she has disclosed in the affidavit: - Sheila Dikshit, 65, is wife of the late Vinod Kumar Dikshit and resident of AB-17, Mathura Road, New Delhi

The affidavit says Dikshit studied in the Convent of Jesus and Mary, Delhi, and did her matriculation from the Punjab Board in 1953. She completed her master's degree in history from the prestigious Miranda House college of Delhi University.
