What: Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, announces admissions to MD and MS courses in Ayurveda for 2007.

An all-India written test will be held in the following subjects:

• Ayurveda Samhita
• Swasthavritta and Yoga
• Sharir Rachana
• Dravyaguna
• Kayachikitsa (Chikitsa)
• Vikritivigyan
• Kaumarbhritya
• Prasuti Tantra (Stree Roga)
• Rasa Shastra
• Shalya Tantra
• Sangyaharan

Are you eligible?

~ You must possess a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery degree, recognised by CCIM.

~ You could also have an MBBS degree, recognised by the Medical Council of India.

~ You must have completed a 12-month rotating internship (4 1/2 years BAMS course) or 6 months rotating internship (five years BAMS course) by July 31.

~ You must not be more than 35 years of age as on on July 31, 2007.

~ Last date for receipt of requests for application forms: April 2

~ Last date of availablility of forms at the main Post Office: April 16

~ Last date for submission of completed application forms: April 18

How to apply

~ Download the application form from the BHU web site.

~ You may also obtain a hard copy from the office of the Director, by sending a written request through registered post along with a demand draft of Rs 100 drawn in favour of the Director, IMS, BHU, payable at Varanasi, along with two self-addressed white paper slips (10x6 cm).

Clearly mention on the envelope: 'Application for MD (Ay) / MS (Ay) Entrance Test - 2007, BHU'.

~ You may also obtain the application form on cash payment of Rs 100 from the counter of the main post office. 

~ Submit the completed application form accompanied by DD/Banker's Cheque of Rs 800.
