Rosa Power signs PPA with UPSEBRosa Power Supply Company Limited, a joint venture between the A V Birla group and PowerGen PLC of the United Kingdom, today signed a power purchase agreement with the Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Board. The PPA will be valid for 30 years. PowerGen officials said they are happy that the Uttar Pradesh government is taking renewed interest in driving the Rosa Power Project forward. The project, they said, will meet UP's shortfall in power. The coal-based, two-unit project, located in Rosa near Lucknow, involves an investment of Rs 24.30 billion and will generate 567 mega-watts of power.
