Infogain to recruit 350, foray into BPO

US-based software company Infogain said on Friday that it would ramp up its India development centre with an additional 350 software professionals over the next 18 months besides foraying into BPO segment to diversify the services.
"To supplement our growth in the US and UK, we will add 350 professionals in the India development centre at Noida over the next 18 months while 100 people will be taken up for the business process outsourcing initiative and the investment for the same would be about $5 million, " Kapil Nanda, CEO, Infogain said in New Delhi.
The current capacity of Noida IDC is about 100.
The BPO initiative, which will start over the next six months will be taken up by a separate unit, he said while adding the company would focus on its existing clientele for BPO on client relationship management.
The company is targetting a growth rate of $100 million by 2005 from the current $40 million, Nada said.
Infogain currently has two development centres -- US and UK -- and 85 per cent of its revenue comes from US while the remaining come from Europe. The company has offerings in the Enterprise Application Integration and Business Intelligence space for verticals like financial services, telecom, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and government.
